From I5, East and South of Mukilteo:From I-5, the simplest route is to take route 526 (Exit 189) and cut through Boeing. After the big building, the big planes and the tour center, follow the signs for the Mukilteo ferry (you make a right and then another right at the light onto 525/Mukilteo Speedway.) Now you also have the option of taking 525 directly from north 405 (as 405 ends it becomes 525) and follow to the Mukilteo Speedway directly over 99. Stay straight and you will go directly to the ferry dock. The ferries run on the half hour, and there should not be any wait getting onto the island in the am. It's only a 20 minute trip...hopefully you can enjoy the view. From Mukilteo/Clinton ferry: Follow 525 north from the Clinton Ferry Dock 2.5 miles to the street light (shopping center on right.) Turn Left onto Cultus Bay Rd. Follow Cultus Bay Rd. for 3.8 miles and turn Right on Bailey Rd. Follow0.6 miles
to the first Left, turn onto Scatchet Head Rd. This road winds and curves to right and
becomes Swede Hill Rd. at 0.5 miles. In0.3 miles you will turn right at the corner of S.
Mortland (just past the Scatchet Head Development Sign) and then left. The first open hay
field and barn on your right is the farm, with the entrance on the right up to the small
white house with green trim. |
From the North:Follow Rte 20 which turns into Rte 525 south down the center of Whidbey Island. Turn Right onto Maxwelton Rd (at the light between milepost 13 and 12.) Follow for 4.6 miles, along the beach, to Swede Hill Rd (there is a dairy farm on the left.) Turn left and climb the hill, pass a horse stable on your right, and Hathor Farm is directly ahead of you. Follow Swede Hill around the field and house and the driveway is on your left. (6.0 miles total from the turnoff onto Maxwelton.) |
